Cellar
The choice of the place caters mostly to the proximity of the vineyards and the sloping topography in a westerly direction, allowing a perfect orientation of the spacecraft in a production process based on the gravity, breathtaking views on the land and limited industrial impact typical of this kind of building.
The winery is formed by two volumes that emerge from the hillside, but as half of the builing is underground, there is only a part of it is visible.
The industrial process (vintage and receiving initial treatment) and the ageing process are divided in two different volumes. The building is formed by two different parts, though closely related to each other for perfect performance.
Two volumes broken by a passageway to fit the slope and directed the building to the west. A building that limits the environmental impact is a big warehouse in a rural area and find a scale more appropriate to its location.
